| “I believe, the secret to obtaining any health and fitness goal is to focus on the progression of the body’s performance.” |
|
| Even if you are not one of John’s many athletes that he trains throughout the year, he believes that your ability to perform under stress is the key to obtaining any goal that you may have. Whether it be to lose 20 pounds, drop 2:00 off of your 5K, or just to live pain free again; John believes that they all have a common principle of training. “If you are only able to walk 1 mile without having to stop right now; just think how your body would look and you would feel after we trained and you are able to run 5 miles. It’s not as far off as you think, but only if you train properly.” |
|
| John is has a undergrad degree in Exercise Science, certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, and a club coach for the United States Weightlifting Association. A former Division 1 soccer player at the University of Massachusetts and professional player in Brazil, John spends much of his time working with area athletes. He is the Head Performance Coach for the Charlotte Soccer Club and owner of Performance Unlimited, a subsidiary of a soccer training company out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. |

In track he was a 400 meter champion and was also considered one of North Carolina's top 100 and 200 meter sprinters. His indoor 300meter dash time still remains as one of the nations' top performances on a flat track. |
| |
| In football he became one of the nation's top all-purpose runners. At the North Carolina Football Combine, he was credited with running the 40 yard dash twice in 4.25 seconds. He received a full football scholarship to attend the University of Hawaii and then the University of Virginia. |
| |
| Andrew attributes his speed and athletic performance to the functional training he experience in both high school and college. His wealth of experience with this type of training should prove beneficial to the person looking for a fitness challenge. |
